| Terminal information The airport has a central Landside Terminal where baggage and ticketing functions take place. The Landside Terminal is surrounded by four Airside satellites (A, C, E & F) where airliner embarkment and disembarkment occur. |
| Terminal passenger links Each Airside satellite is connected to the Landside Terminal via an elevated (level 3) automated people mover (APM) system which employs shuttle cars. |
| A: Hillsborough Area Regional Transit (HART) The HART bus stop is located at the east end of the red baggage claim curbside. Route 30 runs every 15 minutes (weekdays, 6am – 8pm) and every 30 minutes (other times, including weekends) between the airport and downtown Tampa - west to the Northwest Transfer Center or east to the Marion Transit Center. @ Summer 2009 local fare is $1.75. |
| B1: Shared Ride Vans Shared ride vans are available to downtown Tampa, the Port of Tampa Cruise Terminal and other locations such as St Petersburg and Sarasota. Service is provided from the Commercial Ground Transportation Quadrants located at all four corners of the Baggage Claim Level. Some sample fares @ Summer 2009: - downtown Tampa, $12. - Port of Tampa Cruise Terminal, $12. - St Petersburg, $25. - Sarasota, $40 (Sarasota-Tampa Express.) |
| B2: Hotel Shuttles Courtesy vans are operated by various hotels and motels in and around the airport area. |
| C: Taxis Taxi cab service is provided from the Commercial Ground Transportation Quadrants located in all four corners of the Baggage Claim Level. Minimum fare from the airport is $15. @ Summer 2009 there is a maximum flat rate fee of $25 to Downtown Tampa and the Port of Tampa Cruise Terminal. All other areas are served on meter rates - $2 plus $2.25 per mile (but remember the minimum fee.). |
| D: Limousines A large number of companies provide a pre-arranged car service throughout the area. |
| E: Rental Cars On-site rental company rental counters are located across the walkway in the Red Baggage Claim Area and across the walkway in the Blue Baggage Claim Area. Off-site rental company courtesy vehicle service is provided from the Commercial Ground Transportation Quadrants located in all four corners of the Baggage Claim Level. |
