Terminal information There is a Central Terminal building with four concourses (A - D) and two Satellite Terminals (North and South.)
Terminal passenger links A train service connects the Main Terminal to the nearby North and South Satellites.
A: Sound Transit Light Rail A temporary connector bus shuttle connects light rail passengers from the airport to Tukwila International Blvd Station. These free shuttles leave roughly every 10 minutes - from baggage claim, follow signs for public transit to Bay 2. At Tukwila Internation Blvd Station catch the light rail northwards with stops including downtown Seattle Pioneer Square. Trains leave every 7 - 15 minutes. @ Summer 2009 a single to Pioneer Square costs $2.50. Note that by December 2009, the light rail line will extend directly to the airport station, making the shuttle redundant.
B: Express Line Metro (174 and 194) Bus services 174 and 194 to downtown Seattle leave every 15 - 30 minutes from the far south end of the airport baggage claim area, outside door number 2. Exact fare paid to driver. @ Summer 2009 fares are: - Peak (6am-9am, 3pm-6pm), $2.50. - Off peak, $1.75.
C1: Shared Ride Vans Scheduled shuttle buses pick up and drop off passengers in the parking lot at the south end of the Baggage Claim level. These service various destinations including: - Seattle hotels, $11 single @ Summer 2009. - Vancouver, $54 single @ Summer 2009. Approx 5 hours.
C2: Hotel Shuttles Free shuttles operate between the airport and a number of hotels in the area.
D: Taxis STITA (Seattle Tacoma International Taxi Association) has the exclusive taxi contract with the Port of Seattle. Taxis are located on the third floor of the parking garage in the Ground Transportation center. @ Summer 2009 the 16 mile trip from SeaTac to downtown Seattle would probably cost a minimum of $48 plus a $2.50 flag drop and $1 airport fee.
E: Limousines STILA (Seattle Tacoma International Limousine Association) has the exclusive taxi contract with the Port of Seattle. Since towncars are a flat rate this will often come out about the same as a cab especially if you are traveling when the freeway is congested. To arrange for a limousine or town car, use the touch screen to access "Ground Transportation" on any of the Travelers' Information Boards in Baggage Claim (located near the escalators), use curbside phones, or go to a Ground Transportation Booth (inside Door 16 on the Baggage Claim Level or on the third floor of the Parking Garage.)
F: Rental Cars Nine rental car companies have information counters in the Baggage Claim area, and five have car pick-up and drop-off at the airport on the first floor of the garage across from the Main Terminal. In addition, off-airport rental car companies provide courtesy van service to the airport.
