| Terminal information The airport has 3 terminals, the Commuter Terminal, the Interisland Terminal and the Main Overseas Terminal. The Main Overseas Terminal includes 3 concourses - Central, Diamond Head and Ewa. |
| Terminal passenger links A fleet of buses (known as ‘Wiki Wiki’) provide interterminal transportation between the ticket counters of all three terminals and between the concourses in the Interisland and Main terminals. |
| A: The Bus The city bus system in Honolulu is called ‘The Bus'. Transportation is provided to downtown Honolulu and several other destinations in Honolulu, approximately every 30 minutes. Two useful routes are 19 and 20 - both of these can be taken eastwards to Waikiki via downtown Honolulu. Bus Stops are located on the second level roadway along the center median – follow the signs. @ Summer 2009 fares are: - adult, $2.25. - children (6-17), $1. - children up to 5, free. Note that all bags must be able to be placed under the feet or on the lap without protruding into the aisle way. Backpacks with metal frames are not allowed. |
| B1: Waikiki Express Buses Transportation to any hotel in Waikiki is provided by Roberts Hawaii, authorized by the State of Hawaii. This includes stops at the pier for cruise ship passengers. Buses leave every 20-25 minutes. @ Summer 2009 prices are: - one way, $9. - return, $15. - child (3 or under), free. Payment to the driver - 2 pieces of luggage per traveler go free. There are several pickup points along the Interisland and Main Overseas terminal areas. |
| B2: Shared Ride Vans A large number of companies provide a pre-arranged shared ride service throughout the area. |
| B3: Hotel Shuttles Courtesy vans are operated by various hotels and motels in and around the airport area. |
| C: Taxis Taxi Service is available on the center median fronting the terminal baggage claim areas - follow the signs. AMPCO Express is the airport’s authorised service. The fare from the airport to Waikiki during non-rush hour periods is approximately $35.00-$40.00 @ Summer 2009 (maximum of four people) plus a baggage charge of 35 cents per bag. Fare is by meter only. |
| D: Limousines A large number of companies provide a pre-arranged car service throughout the area. |
| E: Rental Cars Registration counters are located in the Baggage Claim area. On airport rental car offices are located on the ground level opposite Baggage Claim G. Car rental shuttles stop in designated areas along the center median on the ground level outside of baggage claim areas. |
