The airport has 1 terminal with 2 concourses - A and B.

Shuttle services are provided for transport between the terminal and overflow parking lots.
A: Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) Buses
CARTA provides a public bus transportation service (route 11) into downtown Charleston. Journey takes approximately 1 hour.

- regular, $1.50.
- day pass, $5.

B1: Shared Ride Vans
A small number of companies provide regular pre-arranged shuttle service to various destinations, including downtown Charleston (in fact a regular shuttle bus runs to Charleston.)
@ Summer 2009 a fare to downtown Charleston is $12.
B2: Hotel Shuttles
Courtesy vans are operated by select hotels in and around the airport area.
C: Taxis
Taxi stands at the Charleston Airport South Carolina are located at the side of the inner terminal road.
@ Summer 2009 the meter fare for taxi departure from the airport is $2.15 per loaded mile with no additional charge for the first two passengers. For each passenger in excess of 2, a fee of $12 per passenger per trip will be charged.
@ Summer 2009 some example approximate fares (based on 1 or 2 persons) are:
- downtown Charleston, $25-$30.
- James Island and Resorts, $30-$44.
- Johns Island (Seabrook Island Gate or Kiawah Island Gate, $60-$65.)
D: Limousines
A small number of limousine companies provide pre-arranged service at the airport.

Rental car counters are located outside of Baggage Claim.
